These are an estimate of what I charge for quilting. |
Custom Quilting -- .025 - .04 sq. in. |
Measure the length and width of your quilt top. Multiply those number (length x width) and that total will equal the square inches of the quilt top. Example: If your quilt top measures 60" x 70", that number multiplied is 4,200. So the square inches of a 60" x 70" quilt top is 4200 square inches. Taking that number (4200) and multiply it by .02 (the cost of two-pattern quilting) gives you a total of $84.00, the cost of quilting for that size quilt. Additional charges would be for batting, thread and any other work added to the quilting.
The prices on this website represent a pricing guideline for my services. When you bring your quilt top to me, we can discuss the best way to quilt your top and I can give you a cost estimate for quilting. My time frame varies from month to month with the fall (September through November), being the busiest time. There is an additional charge if you need your quilt done quickly, but usually I can move things around on my schedule and finish your quilt top if it's needed in a hurry.
I usually do not quilt t-shirt quilts or other quilts made out of fabric other than cotton. If this is the type of quilt you need quilted, please talk to me about it as some of these quilts are easier to quilt than others. Also, I will only take backings made out of fabrics other than cotton (such as Minky or fleece) if they have less than 25% stretch.
